Kevin Hogan: 5 best highlights with the Cleveland Browns
By Randy Gurzi
Not many third-string quarterbacks request trades. Kevin Hogan however was no ordinary emergency gun slinger for the Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns have reportedly given quarterback Kevin Hogan permission to seek a trade. That’s a great thing for the current third-string gun slinger because it will give him a chance to get to a team early and really compete for a starting spot.
Hogan was originally choosen by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth-round of the 2016 NFL Draft, but found his way to the Browns practice squad once Kansas City realized they weren’t ready for him.

The Browns quickly found ways to get him involved as he rotated in as a gadget quarterback that could pick teams apart with his legs and his arm. He appeared in four games as a rookie and four more in 2017 — with one start. Hogan likely finishes his time with Cleveland completing 59.4 percent of his passes for 621 yards with four touchdowns and seven picks.
He added another 176 yards and a score on the ground.
With his exit imminent, we look back at his five best plays with the Browns, starting with his touchdown pass to Johnathan Joseph in his first career start.
Hogan also showed he can move the ball downfield in a hurry. In this second clip, we see Hogan testing the defense deep on a play that drew some yellow laundry.
All joking aside, Hogan did show flashes of potential during his brief time with the Browns. So here we really will see what makes him fun to watch, starting with a hard-fought first-down against Houston.
Hogan will also always be he guy that hit tight end David Njoku for his first career touchdown against Baltimore.
Speaking of firsts, who didn’t love the first ever touchdown run of Hogan’s young career?
The Dawg Pound will always wish the absolute best for someone who gave their all like Hogan did.

That still doesn’t mean it isn’t weird that a third-string guy asked for a trade. Because it is weird.
