If everything goes as planned, the Cleveland Browns will have a strong wide receiver corps. That’s a pretty big if since they’re depending on Josh Gordon and Corey Coleman to deliver. Both have the talent, but Coleman has struggled with hand injuries and Gordon has been suspended more often than not.

They did add Jarvis Landry, who should be a solid slot option, but should one of the other guys go down things could go bad fast. While that doesn’t mean they need to spend an early pick on the position, adding a potential deep threat late could be wise.

That’s where Devonte Boyd comes in. While with UNLV Boyd pulled in 198 receptions and 3,242 yards with 18 touchdowns. He averaged 16.4 yards per catch and was at his best in that regard in 2017 when he was good for 18-yards per grab.

The concern with him is the fact his numbers dipped after a strong two seasons to start his career. Even with that being said, Boyd is the kind of player that could get lost with the attention given to all their other options and find himself running free for some big gains. He also could very well be a pick in the final round, making his upside worth the selection.
