1. Ezekiel Ansah, EDGE, Detroit Lions

This one would be a blockbuster. After recording 12 sacks in 2017, Detroit Lions defensive end Ezekiel Ansah was ready to cash in. He was slated to be a free agent, but got slapped with the franchise tag, thus limiting his chance to go and secure a long-term deal.

While Ansah eventually signed he deal, there were indications that he wasn’t happy as he showed reluctance to sign and debated on showing up for workouts. There are also no indications that he and the team are even close on a long-term deal. So, what if some team with extra draft picks and plenty of cap space came calling?

That could of course be the Cleveland Browns, who could better afford to give Ansah the deal he desires. For the Browns, it gives them a proven edge rusher outside of Myles Garrett, who they hope breaks out in his second season. Detroit may not be interested, but the prospects of a lengthy salary debate could sway them.

Of course, this move would be out of left field, but it wouldn’t be the craziest idea to try. It also would come down to what the asking price — trade wise and contractually — would end up being.
