On draft day, we give you one last look at how the Cleveland Browns could end up doing with this 2018 7-round NFL Mock Draft

Draft day is here! So while none of us except Cleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey doesn’t really know what is going to happen, we are going to give one last seven round mock. Not a ton has changed since my last Browns’ seven round mock, but here is my final thoughts before real draft picks are made.

The Browns cannot afford to miss on this pick. I think they take the safest route and take Darnold. Some say Allen has a higher ceiling or that Mayfield is a better leader, but the Brown’s will take the consensus number one in Sam Darnold.

Chubb may be the best player available at this point if the Giants grab Barkley. Chubb across from Myles Garrett has the potential to be the best pass rushing duo in the league and a very young one at that.

Cleveland looks to fill the Joe Thomas’ gap and improve their offensive line. They do that here with Williams, a guy who could go in the first round but if he slides, we would love to have him.

It is anybody’s guess what cornerbacks will be left after the first round, but the Browns need to add one that can play right away. Oliver is a guy who can do that.

The Browns are happy if Chubb slides this far. Why not draft both Chubb cousins and see what they can do playing on the same team.

I love a receiver pick here. Hamilton is a great athlete and a guy who may fly under some radars.

Cleveland adds some depth to the line backer position in a guy with the whole nation behind him and a game changer on the field.

It doesn’t hurt to add more secondary depth, especially with the way Cleveland’s has played over the last few years.

The Browns bring in another exterior lineman to compete for a job. Whatever they can do to protect their quarterbacks, they need to do.
