After landing quarterback Baker Mayfield and corner Denzel Ward in the first round, we look at what the Cleveland Browns may do in the second day of the draft

Well that was fun. The Cleveland Browns stayed put and actually made both their picks at the No. 1 and No. 4 spot in the 2018 NFL Draft.

After months of thinking they would walk away with Sam Darnold out of USC at quarterback, the news shifted the morning of the draft.

Reports started to emerge that Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield would be the choice, and he was. They then reportedly were willing to listen to trade offers, but nothing came from that.

Instead, the Browns stayed put and selected Ohio State’s Denzel Ward. The blazing fast cornerback should be a day one starter and help the Browns build a much stronger defensive unit.

Now with a night to rest up and regroup, Cleveland is ready to get back to work. General manager John Dorsey and head coach Hue Jackson have three more picks to make on Friday, starting with the very first — No. 33 overall.

Here we take a look at what the Browns may do with those selections — provided of course they once again stay put and add the players rather than future picks.
