New Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry landed as the 52nd best player in NFL Network’s Top 100 players list, voted in by other NFL players.

Jarvis Landry made an impact in his four seasons with the Miami Dolphins before being traded to the Cleveland Browns this offseason. His impact during the 2017 season helped him make this year’s edition of NFL Network’s Top 100 players list.

Landry led the NFL in 2017 with 112 receptions, beating Larry Fitzgerald, who had 109 receptions. He also compiled 987 receiving yards and nine touchdowns last season.

Landry was able to put up these numbers while playing with new quarterback Jay Cutler. Cutler was set to retire last offseason before signing with the Dolphins. Landry’s usual quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, missed the entirety of last season because of a torn ACL.

This is the third time that Landry has made the NFL Network’s Top 100 players list. He ranked 98th in the 2016 edition of the Top 100 players list and ranked 42nd in last year’s edition of the list.

Landry’s possession skills are what make him such a talented receiver. When his team needs him to make a play, he has the trustworthy ball skills that assures his teammates that when the ball is going his way, he is going to make the play.

Landry’s 400 receptions in the first four seasons of his career is the highest in NFL history. The next closest is Anquan Boldin, who had 342 receptions in his first four seasons of his career.

In Cleveland, it will be hard to see Landry getting the same amount of targets as he did in Miami, which helped him break that record. But pairing him with Josh Gordon has created a dynamic group of wide receivers for the Browns.

Landry will look to continue his run as one of the Top 100 players in the NFL in Cleveland for years to come. He will have plenty of chances, as he signed a five year, $75.5 million contract extension with Cleveland this offseason.
