New Cleveland Browns safety Damarious Randall is starting to find out the hard way how loyal the fan base in Cleveland is, no matter the sport

The Cleveland Browns know how loyal this sports town is. It doesn’t matter what your major sport is, this town is all in with the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers.

One newcomer to ‘The Land’ is starting to figure out how true that really is.

Former Green Bay Packers defensive back Damarious Randall was dealt to the Browns this offseason and he recently made waves by picking the Golden State Warriors to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2018 NBA Finals.

Randall was adamant about that, and once he started tweeting things out about the Warriors, he followed it up with a boast saying if the Cavs do end up beating Golden State, he will buy a jersey for anyone who retweets his claim.

In his defense, Randall seems to be having fun with all the attention. After taking a lot of heat from fans, he claimed they will love him again once they see how he mans the free safety position.

The confidence he exudes is a welcome thing in the Browns secondary. While at ASU collegiately, Randall was an excellent free safety.

So good that he was drafted in the first round by the Packers. Then they moved him to corner since he was such a solid cover guy.

In three seasons playing out of position, Randall recorded 10 picks — never having less than three in a season.

The Browns are ready to move him back to his natural position, which could mean even better production. Maybe it will be enough production that fans can forgive him for not being all in on LeBron James and the Cavs.
