The Cleveland Browns need to find a way to start winning games and think having UFC Hall of Fame fighter Chuck Liddell working with them will help

The Cleveland Browns are looking to some outside sources as they attempt to bring a stronger mentality — and hopefully some wins — to their team.

The latest place they looked for the inspiration to improve is with UFC Hall of Fame fighter Chuck Liddell, who worked with players from the Browns at OTAs.

Liddell afterwards talked up the workouts saying it was all about fighting to win. He also was positive about the culture around the Browns.

On top of that, the MMA legend said it’s all about having the right mindset.

"“The bigger thing that we work on is mindset,” Liddell said via Zach Pereles of Yahoo.com. “We try to get these guys to treat it like a fight. You’re fighting the guy in front of you. You’re trying to break him mentally and physically.”"

The Browns have worked all offseason on creating that right mindset. Since Hue Jackson became the head coach they’ve been in a constant state of change and have had one win and 31 losses — including an 0-16 season in 2017.

They hope to have changed that mindset by bringing in a new offensive coordinator in Todd Haley. That new play caller has more weapons as well with the Browns adding quarterback Tyrod Taylor, receiver Jarvis Landry and running back Carlos Hyde in free agency.

Drafting players like quarterback Baker Mayfield as well as running back Nick Chubb should ensure they strong in the future on offense as well. They’ve also added a ton of talent to the defensive side of the ball with players like defensive end Myles Garrett and cornerback Denzel Ward.

They key now is to get those players used to being part of a winning franchise. Liddell for one thinks that’s all about how you approach things.

Next: Ward impressing at OTAs

Maybe he’s onto something, but it can’t hurt to have someone like him visit even if he isn’t.
