Cleveland Browns: Rob Gronkowski is worth a look
After an offseason that included overhauling the majority of the roster, the Cleveland Browns may have another option they should consider in trading for New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.
New general manager John Dorsey was hired for one reason in Cleveland: to change the culture. After struggling with futility since returning to the NFL — only two winning seasons since 1999 and one win in the past two seasons — Dorsey was brought in to turn the Cleveland Browns around and immediately put his plan in action.
Dorsey and his staff gutted the majority of the offensive players that were on the roster and made improvements on both sides of the ball.
Just take a look at the Brown’s roster to end last year and the roster on the first day of OTA’s, and you can see there is a lot of new names and faces, and there is a ton of improvement on paper.

From trading all the quarterbacks on the 2017 team, to acquiring Tyrod Taylor and Jarvis Landry in trades, and also drafting the quarterback of the future in Baker Mayfield, Cleveland looks different. The team had to change its ways in order to see results. They added skill players in positions of need, and they have could a great chance to add another great talent in Rob Gronkowski.
Although the team already has young talent at the position, namely David Njoku, having the chance to add someone like Gronk is a chance that the team shouldn’t pass over.
Although he has had injury problems in recent seasons, Gronk would be another key weapon that would help the offense, and Baker Mayfield, improve and grow.
Adding another matchup nightmare to those already presented in running back Duke Johnson and Landry would be just another step forward for the Browns.
Although it would likely take a lot to get him from the Patriots, it would be worth it if he was able to come in and help not only the team, but also young players such as Njoku and Mayfield grow in their respective fields.
Dorsey has already shown he’s not afraid to take risks on players. Be it character problems, off the field issues, or health concerns, he has shown that he is willing to work with someone if they have enough talent.

And Gronkowski has more than enough of that to go around.
