The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including Josh Gordon saying that the Browns have the group of wide receivers in the NFL.

The Cleveland Browns were aggressive this offseason in acquiring talent. One of the biggest moves that they completed was trading for wide receiver Jarvis Landry and signing him to a five year extension.

Landry will be paired with Josh Gordon and Corey Coleman as the three top receivers on the Browns depth chart. They are followed by Antonio Callaway, Rashard Higgins, Ricardo Louis, Damion Ratley and Jeff Janis.

More from Dawg Pound Daily

Although most of the receivers have not played a game together, that is not stopping Gordon from claiming that the Browns have the best wide receiver group in the NFL.

That story and more can be found in today’s edition of Daily Dawg Tags.

Josh Gordon says ‘life is good’ for himself, boasts about Browns’ WRs – Pat McManamon, ESPN

"Gordon said he also feels really good about his team. He called the Browns’ receivers the best in the NFL and the team’s quarterbacks the best he has seen in Cleveland."

The Browns wide receivers are much improved from year’s past, but Gordon claiming that they are the best receivers in the NFL is a stretch considering most them have not played a game together yet. They are definitely a very good group of receivers, but it is way too early to say that they are the best.

Jarvis Landry could have biggest role in his career

After being put in the slot and running mostly short routes with the Miami Dolphins, the Browns receiver could have a much bigger role in Cleveland. Perhaps even the biggest role of his career.

"“Jabrill, I think, is going to have a sensational season. I really do. He’s working hard. He has been very vocal back there. But Derrick Kindred is not going to just give it away, so it is going to be fun to see.”"

The Browns have a good amount invested into Jabrill Peppers, so he should be the favorite to win the starting strong safety job. But one thing that is obvious is John Dorsey loves competition, and he and Hue Jackson are going to make Peppers earn the starting job.
