Cleveland Browns: 5 Bold predictions for 2018

4. Nick Chubb runs for 10 touchdowns
The Browns made picks in the 2018 NFL Draft that will help now and some that will help in the future. One of the selections made with the future in mind was their No. 35 pick. There they took University of Georgia running back Nick Chubb, who enters this season backing up free agent pick up Carlos Hyde.
Both players look to be an upgrade over Isaiah Crowell, who is now with the New York Jets. Hyde is a better pass catcher and has a shot to be better on the ground than Crowell. Chubb however, has a higher ceiling than all of them.

He’s going to enter the season as a reserve, but don’t expect Chubb to be taken off the field often once he gets rolling. He was an absolute load to bring down at Georgia and when he got hot, defenses wore down fast.
The Browns will find that out and he will start to make his mark for them, especially in the red zone. According to Sports Reference, Chubb recorded 44 touchdowns in four seasons — even though one was severely shortened by a serious knee injury. His last year with the Bulldogs, Chubb had a career-high 15 touchdowns — while splitting time with first-round pick Sony Michel in the backfield.
Don’t expect shared time to slow him down any as Chubb takes advantage of every opportunity. In 2018 he becomes the goal line back early and eventually steals the job outright as he crosses the goal line 10 times on the ground.
