Cleveland Browns: 5 Bold predictions for 2018
By Randy Gurzi
2. Myles Garrett records 15 sacks
The Cleveland Browns finally took a quarterback at No. 1 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. It was the second season in a row they kicked draft night off by turning in their card first. The year prior, they didn’t go for a signal caller, though it was needed, because they were sold on Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett.
There was good reason for that as Garrett was seen as a game changing pass rusher and as a rookie he didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately, injuries limited him some, but when Garrett was on the field he showed why the Browns liked him so much in the draft.

Playing in 11 games as a rookie, Garrett had 31 tackles and 11 sacks according to NFL.com. He should get better by having a full year in the NFL under his belt, but that’s not the only reason for optimism.
Garrett did his damage while playing limited snaps with fellow starter Emmanuel Ogbah. When they were both on the field together, they looked downright scary. If both can stay healthy and on the field, the results could be scary — for opponents.
Assuming both stay on the field, this prediction is that Garrett more than doubles his sack total from his rookie campaign and winds up with 15. That puts him in the 2018 NFL Defensive Player of the Year talks as well as among the leaders in sacks.
