Cleveland Browns: 30 greatest players in franchise history

Greatest players in Cleveland Browns history: 3. Joe Thomas
The player that played the most recently on this list, Joe Thomas is a massive fan favorite. Thomas blocked for the blind side of many different quarterbacks during his playing career. Not only will Thomas go down in NFL history as one of the best to play offensive tackle, but he will be known for being one of the game’s greatest players of all-time.
Not only was Thomas a talented player, he will go down as an iron man. In Thomas’ career, he played and started 167 games. But during that time span of 11 years, Thomas played 10,363 consecutive snaps. The streak ended after Thomas suffered a torn triceps, which was the last play he ever played in the NFL. He is the only player in NFL history to ever eclipse 10,000 consecutive snaps.
In his 11-year career in Cleveland, Thomas was named to the Pro Bowl every season of his career, except for the 2017 season as he only played seven games. He was also named a first team All-Pro seven times during his career, and a second team All-Pro twice.
Although Thomas never played a playoff snap in his career, he will go down as one of the best to have ever put on the brown and orange uniform.
