Week 16 at home against the Cincinnati Bengals

We finally stop picking every other game to get a win and skip down to Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Neither Ohio team has been great lately, but the Browns seem to be on the rise. Cincinnati, not so much.

They nearly started to improve as reports surfaced that they were moving on from head coach Marvin Lewis, but then they decided to extend his contract instead. Doing so just meant they would be mediocre for a few years longer, because that’s Lewis’ ceiling.

We know it, the fans know it and heck if he was given truth serum he would admit it to. He has a job because owner Mike Brown is notoriously cheap and Lewis doesn’t cost him as much as a good coach would.

Should the courses of these franchises stay with the same momentum as this offseason, then eventually it should work out to where the Browns and Bengals series becomes one-sided in Cleveland’s favor. As for now, they likely split the series, so the best guess is the win comes at First Energy Stadium.

This will be the fifth-sure win for the Browns, but hopefully these won’t be the only ones. 2018 looks to be much better than the previous two campaigns and these five games will highlight that.
