4. Carl Nassib

Carl Nassib is a player on the bubble. But every year there is a player on the bubble who steps up his game to solidify his position on the roster. If Carl Nassib can develop into a solid backup defensive end, then he could positively effect the Browns record.

The Browns had a revolving door at defensive end last season. It was a rare occasion last season when the Browns had both Myles Garrett and Emmanuel Ogbah on the field. This meant a lot of playing time went to backup players Carl Nassib and Nate Orchard.

Unfortunately, Nassib and Orchard did not pan out as the Browns had hoped. In response, the Browns added Chris Smith via free agency and Chad Thomas via the draft. The question now becomes how will Nassib and Orchard fit in this new group.

Expect Nassib to step up his game. Nassib’s antics on the sideline is worth the price of admission to the games. His super intensity on the field and sidelines are extremely entertaining. His play at defensive end was solid. If he can improve upon his pass rush and continue to play well against the run, Nassib could be a nice player already on the roster that could contribute to wins.
