6. Week 9 vs Kansas City Chiefs

The Patrick Mahomes experiment has officially begun, and after his week 17 performance against the Denver Broncos, he might just be the real deal. Thankfully for Cleveland, they might have the defense to at least slow down the cannon arm from Texas Tech.

Unfortunately for Hue Jackson’s crew, Kansas City has many more weapons at their disposal. Outside of a ridiculously strong quarterback, they have a speedstar in Tyreek Hill, an ever-reliable option in Travis Kelce, and the newly-added Sammy Watkins.

If the Browns can slow down all of these guys, they might have a shot. But in truth, Kansas City’s offense might be too explosive for Cleveland to ignore. The defense isn’t too bad, and the offense could be one of the league’s best if given the right scheme.

5. Week 17 @ Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore is not an easy place to play, especially in the winter. Ravens fans are known for being especially loud, and the Ravens always manage to put together a run at the end of the season. Baltimore could be hunting for playoff gold in this one, which makes it all the more difficult for the Browns.

Historically, the Browns have a .237 winning percentage against the Ravens. The last time they took down Baltimore on their turf was in 2015, after a game-winning field goal in overtime. Joe Flacco always becomes a bit more elite at this time of year, and the Browns will likely have a tough time taking him out and likely spoiling the Ravens’ playoff chances.
