After a busy off-season rebuilding the roster, the Cleveland Browns are looking at having a bunch of new starters. Who will be taking the first snaps of the season for the Browns?

The Cleveland Browns will have the most competitive roster the organization has had since 2014. General manager John Dorsey brought on players in almost every position group this off-season, creating competition everywhere.

With the amount of competition on the roster, there is the potential for some surprise cuts, as well as some surprise starters.

With the amount of players that the Browns brought in this off-season there will be a good amount of starters that will be playing in their first season with the Browns.

With the Browns looking to win their first opening game since 2004, here’s a look at who we think will be starting for the Browns on September 9th against the Steelers at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Quarterback – Tyrod Taylor

What will be one of the most talked about competitions during training camp, it would be a shock if Tyrod Taylor is not the Week 1 starter for Cleveland.

Taylor has received a lot of praise from the Browns organization in the short time that he has been in Cleveland. His incredible work ethic and strong leadership has the Browns coaches believing that he is the perfect quarterback to lead the team this season.

Last season, Taylor completed 62.6 percent of his passes while throwing for 2,799 yards, 14 touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also led the Bills to their first playoff appearance since 1999.

Although the Browns selected Baker Mayfield first overall in the draft, the organization will hope that their plan of having him sit and learn for as long as possible this season works out.
