Cleveland Browns: Way too early 7-round mock draft
By Randy Gurzi
Before this season began the Browns got some pretty bad news. Star left tackle Joe Thomas was calling it a career as the 10-time Pro Bowler said he physically was unable to go on. It was a tough day for the team and they really weren’t ready to replace his stability on the left side of their offensive line.

Right now it looks like Shon Coleman will be the starter, but that’s not the best idea. He struggled as a right tackle, so moving him to a more important position doesn’t seem like the way to get him to maximize his potential.
The options are limited though as Cleveland failed to address the spot this offseason. They added Chris Hubbard to play right tackle and, in the draft, their big move was to get a guard in Austin Corbett. They can’t make the same mistake in 2019 and after a season of struggling on the edges, the Browns go for a big name in this mock draft.
Their first-round pick is used on left tackle Trey Adams from Washington. Athletic and tall, the 6-foot-7, 302-pound Adams is coming off a torn ACL which kept him from entering the draft this past season. He would have likely been the best left tackle this year even with the injury, which makes Cleveland ecstatic to land him now.
