Cleveland Browns News: Todd Haley impacts fantasy football as well
By Randy Gurzi
Today’s Daily Dawg Tags look at several Cleveland Browns stories including the impact new offensive coordinator will have on their fantasy football rankings
The weekend is here and we are one step closer to having Cleveland Browns football once again. This offseason has been fun, considering the team has made so many moves, but it’s also been incredibly long.
Speaking of the moves they made, one that could have a huge impact is the signing of offensive coordinator and primary play caller, Todd Haley.
After a successful run with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Haley joins an old rival and should have a positive effect on the way the offense moves the ball. That could also impact the players on the Browns in fantasy football.

Cleveland Browns News
"“After ranking no better than 24th in total yards or points scored in two seasons with Hue Jackson doubling as head coach and playcaller, the Cleveland Browns hired Todd Haley as their offensive coordinator this offseason. Jackson has vowed to give Haley “total autonomy” of the offense in 2018—combined with an overhauled depth chart, the Browns are sure to look different than the versions we’ve seen the last two seasons.”"
Haley has run some incredibly successful offenses during his career. His addition means as much as any player this offseason and fans of fantasy football should take a closer look at any Browns player as their value increases with Haley in town.
Who will lead the Browns in receiving yards in 2018? — Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland.com
"“Who will lead the Browns in receiving yards in 2018? Will it be running back Duke Johnson, who led the way with 693 in 2017?Or will it be newcomer Jarvis Landry, who led the NFL with 112 receptions in 2017 and the Dolphins with 987 yards?”"
Cabot talks about what players on the Browns wide receiver corps can step up this year. This discussion goes back to Todd Haley, who has the task of figuring out who will be the primary focus of their offensive attack in 2018.
Tyrod Taylor names player with most to prove
The Cleveland Browns believe Baker Mayfield is their future, which means Tyrod Taylor could be a one-year rental for the Browns. If so, he has a lot to prove this season and it could lead to him making a whole lot of money in 2019.
Browns 2018 training camp preview: Analyzing the O-line — Andrew Gribble, ClevelandBrowns.com
"“Biggest question: What happens in the aftermath of the left tackle battle? The Browns are hoping one of the candidates makes the decision easy for them as training camp progresses. For the ones who don’t, though, there are still valuable backup spots to fill, and versatility will be vital.”"
Gribble states the obvious in this piece, that the success of the offensive line in 2018 is all about how they replace Joe Thomas. Their former All-Pro tackle retired in the offseason and he leaves some huge shoes for them to fill.
