Cleveland Browns: 5 Players the season is riding on
By Randy Gurzi
If the Cleveland Browns really are going to take a step forward in 2018 they will need several players to step up. Here are five players who will be vital.
We’ve been hearing all offseason about how this Cleveland Browns team will be better than the past few years. Considering they’ve won four games in the past three seasons combined, that probably won’t be the most difficult task in the world.
Aiding in that effort will be the new players that were added this offseason by general manager John Dorsey. In just one offseason, he’s found a way to address nearly every position of need and has the Browns looking much better than this time last year.
That doesn’t mean it’s a guarantee they start reeling off wins. To do so, they need certain players to step up and perform at a high level. Here we will look at which five players will be most vital to their success.

Honorable Mentions:
E.J. Gaines, Cornerback
E.J. Gaines comes over from the Buffalo Bills and needs to be a stabilizing force as a cornerback. He misses the cut for top-five because of the talent around him, but he’s still going to be a huge player for them in 2018.
Duke Johnson, Running Back
Both Nick Chubb and Carlos Hyde are in the backfield which makes them a strong stable, but neither of them has the ability to hit the home run like Duke Johnson can. He’s also a fantastic option out of the backfield but misses the cut as well with other options there to step up if he can’t.
