Free Agency

If a trade can’t be worked out this season, the dream of pairing Odell Beckham, Jr. and Jarvis Landry in the NFL doesn’t have to die. As mentioned previously, his contract ends after this season and the Browns could very well come calling.

Cleveland should have $33.6 million in cap space in 2019 according to Over The Cap. Beckham apparently thinks he is worth $20 million a year. He might be right — especially considering someone like Sammy Watkins got $16 million. In order to secure his services, the Browns could end up paying him that much.

This seems like the most likely option if OBJ does indeed leave New York. The Browns have most of their key pieces locked up for the next few years, so that $33.6 million dollars in cap space is free for additions.

OBJ clearly wants to play with Jarvis Landry again. The two have been practicing with Baker Mayfield recently, building chemistry.

OBJ was even spotted working out with a Browns football at UCLA in April. This isn’t as big of a deal as him working out with Mayfield and Landry but is still relevant.

If he comes to the Browns in free agency, expect his deal to be something around a four-year deal with around $100 million total.

It may sound crazy now, but you know it would be fun.
