Cleveland Browns: Jarvis Landry thinks Browns can win Super Bowl
By Dan Justik
In an exclusive interview with the MMQB, the Cleveland Browns wide receiver believes that the team can win the Super Bowl if everybody plays to their potential.
One of the best parts of training camp beginning is hearing players make bold claims about themselves and their team. On Thursday, that exact situation happened with Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry.
In an interview with Ben Baskin of The MMQB, Landry said that he thinks that the Browns could win the Super Bowl in 2018.

"Landry lauds new offensive coordinator Todd Haley and touts the talent on the Browns’ roster. “You’ll be lucky if we don’t score 40 on you,” he says. “If we get everyone playing to their potential, we can win the Super Bowl this year.” – Ben Baskin, The MMQB"
The Browns have massively improved their roster from last season. It has created the belief among some NFL analysts that the Browns could make it to the playoffs this season.
But even with the improved roster, there are still too many questions about this team to be competitive enough to make a Super Bowl run. Cleveland is also facing a very challenging schedule this season.
But with such a young roster, the Browns could be competing for a deep playoff run in a few years. The Browns have plenty of young talent that is still developing, and still need a few years to reach their potential. But for Landry’s prediction to become true, they would need to reach that potential this season.
In the same article, Landry also said that he expects to receive a much bigger role than the role he had with Miami, saying he will be running a full route tree instead of basic, shallow routes.
If the Browns begin to use Landry’s full skill-set, he could be in for one of his most productive seasons of his career.
Although Landry led the league in receptions last season, he has not produced the amount of yardage that teams expect from a top-tier receiver.
With the weapons that the Cleveland front office assembled on the offensive side of the ball, it’s understandable why Landry is confident in what the Browns could accomplish this season.
But with a bunch of new faces, it may take a while for the offensive unit to mesh early in the season. If they can get their chemistry worked out during training camp, the Browns offense could create a lot of problems for defenses.
