Cleveland Browns: Biggest obstacle in 2018 will be culture change
By Randy Gurzi
Dan Parzych of NFL Spin Zone names the one obstacle each team must overcome and for the Cleveland Browns it’s simply changing the culture of losing
Things have gotten so bad as of late for the Cleveland Browns that even just a few wins in 2018 will feel like a successful season. That says a lot about the culture they’ve built here.
And that’s why when Dan Parzych of NFL Spin Zone listed his ‘Biggest obstacle each team must overcome’ he said the Browns simply have to “put together a few wins.”
Now, he’s not saying they have to reel off a few wins to start the year and get their rhythm. No, he’s saying their biggest obstacle over the course of 16 games will be to get a “few” wins.

"“All the Cleveland Browns need to do in 2018 is a win a game or two for it to be considered improvement from a year ago. One year after going 1-15, the Browns pulled the unthinkable last season by becoming the second team in NFL history to go an entire year without winning a single game, despite numerous opportunities to win.” — Parzych, NFL Spin Zone"
To be fair to the Browns though, they’ve been doing all they can to fix this culture. They may be 1-31 over the past two seasons, but general manager John Dorsey has gone out of his way to fix the broken roster that put together that atrocious record.
They’ve added a couple quarterbacks in Tyrod Taylor and Baker Mayfield, which will go a long way toward fixing the culture. There’s also added help in wide receiver Jarvis Landry and running back Carlos Hyde.
These moves even helped them land linebacker Mychal Kendricks as the Browns are suddenly becoming a destination. Now, all they have to do is keep from racking up the losses, because changing a culture is more than just winning an offseason.
