Cleveland Browns: What players should you draft to your fantasy team?
By Tyler Hise
Aspects with too many questions
The two Brown’s fantasy aspects I am not completely sold on, are Tyrod Taylor and the Brown’s Defense/Special Teams. Don’t get me wrong, Tyrod Taylor is a great improvement from past quarterbacks, however, with the number of talented fantasy gunslingers in NFL, Taylor is left on the outside looking in.
His mobility and low turnover rate are attractive qualities in a fantasy quarterback, but I just don’t think he is going to put up the big stats like a Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers. Talor wouldn’t be a bad backup fantasy quarterback depending on how big your league is.
As far as the Browns’ defense and special teams, I think they are going to face a lot of talented offenses in 2018 including Pittsburgh twice, New Orleans, Atlanta, Carolina, Los Angeles Chargers and Houston. This defense is young and hungry so it wouldn’t surprise me to see them start to mesh and play better as the season goes on, but initially, this isn’t a D/ST unit I would go out of my way to draft.
Overall, the Browns should have some fantasy talent they haven’t had in a while and most fantasy players may overlook them for the simple fact that they play for Cleveland.
I would look to snag some Browns’ players in the mid to late rounds to fill out your roster and to have some sleepers.
