Dontrelle Inman

Dontrelle Inman played for the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Chargers last year, and became a candidate for the Browns to sign in free agency. As we know, the Browns took Landry in priority over Inman, and it looked like they had their receiving corps set. Then, the Coleman move happened and here we are.

Turns out, Inman is still available in free agency. Needless to say, the 29-year old Virginia Cavaliers product isn’t exactly a top-flight receiver considering he hasn’t been signed yet. However, he can still be a reliable bench option for a lower price.

It seems that Gordon, Landry, and Antonio Callaway could round out the starting receiver group in 2018. Behind them, rookie Damion Ratley and soon, Inman could join the second team. A one or two-year deal could benefit both the Browns and Inman greatly, as Inman tries to build his receiver stock for his prime contract.

As for what Inman could bring to Cleveland, he is nearly 6-foot-3 and about 198 pounds. A bit slight for how lanky he is, and the 4.47 40-yard dash is nothing special. Still, he has the height to keep him in the NFL and make him a real backup option for the Browns.
