This past off-season the Cleveland Browns had an influx of talent. Fans are getting excited for this season and have a good reason to. See how this year’s team compares against the 2007 Cleveland Browns roster.

The 2007 Cleveland Browns are arguably the best  Browns team since they came back in 1999. They have the best record, that being 10-6. The only other team that could make an argument for the title is the 2002 Cleveland Browns who made the playoffs.

The 2007 team featured prime Derek Anderson, when he went to the Pro Bowl. The team also had Joe Thomas in his rookie season. In total, the team had 4 Pro Bowlers, all on offense: Anderson, Thomas, Kellen Winslow Jr., and Braylon Edwards.

The 2018 Cleveland Browns are headlined by 2 of last season’s Pro Bowlers, which are Jarvis Landry and Joe Schobert.  Despite not having a lot of top end talent, the Browns have filled their roster with a lot of good depth players.

With how much overall talent the Browns’ roster has in 2018, it already is one of the best roster the organization has had in a long time. It is certainly one of the best rosters since the 2007 Browns.

Here is a breakdown comparing each team’s roster position-by-position.
