Cleveland Browns: Comparing the 2007 10-6 team to the 2018 team
By Mitch Zoloty
Final Score
After going through each position group, the final tally is five-four, in favor of the 2018 Cleveland Browns.
Looking back at the results, the 2018 Cleveland Browns have better quarterbacks, wide receivers, offensive linemen, defensive linemen, and linebackers.
The 2007 Cleveland Browns had better running backs, tight ends, defensive backs, and specialists.
Both teams had a mixture of young talent with veterans, but the 2018 team is looking at a much deeper team overall than the 2007 team. For the amount of new players on the roster, it goes to show how strong of an off-season general manager John Dorsey had.
The 2007 team was a talented group, but may have over-achieved for what the roster was actually built to do. The same could potentially be said about what the 2018 Browns could put together in the upcoming season.
This is a very good sign for the Cleveland Browns this season, as expectations should be high. Fans shouldn’t expect another 10-6 season, but I am confident that the team will have at least six wins. The years of being the bottom of the NFL are over in Cleveland folks. Get prepared for the new era of Cleveland Football.
