Cleveland Browns: Defensive tackle options after Preseason Week 1
By Randy Gurzi
After struggling with the interior of their defensive line, the Cleveland Browns may want to look outside for options at the defensive tackle position
One thing that stood out when watching the Cleveland Browns play on Thursday night was how hard it was to get anything done in the middle of the line of scrimmage. Part of the reason was simply due to players not being available.
On the offensive side of things, Spencer Drango was filling in for Kevin Zeitler, who was sorely missed. On the defensive side of things, they also weren’t looking too good as Trevon Coley missed the game.
His absence at defensive tackle was felt as the New York Giants were able to just push people around in the middle of the line. Most notably, Caleb Brantley had a hard time. Now, being fair to him, he also was dealing with some injury problems as he missed a lot of practice time before the game.
No matter what your take on it was, the depth was questionable for the Browns at defensive tackle. In order to try and remedy that situation, here are three players they could target — whether it be through free agency or via a trade.
