The Cleveland Browns host the Buffalo Bills in their preseason home opener. Here’s all the information you need to catch their second preseason game.

Well, A.J. McCarron and Josh Allen will be playing in First Energy Stadium, but not as members of the Cleveland Browns. Instead, they will be taking snaps for the Buffalo Bills.

Allen was a top quarterback prospect who the Browns were rumored to have some interest in — although that never seemed to be more than just them doing their homework. McCarron, however, was nearly a member of the Browns.

Last season, the former Cincinnati quarterback was traded to Cleveland at the deadline, but a paperwork issued nullified the deal. McCarron was then linked to the Browns all offseason, but instead, they traded for Tyrod Taylor of the Buffalo Bills.

Now McCarron and Allen are in a battle with Nathan Peterman for the Bills starting job. For Cleveland, there is no battle as Taylor is the starter for them while No. 1 pick Baker Mayfield learns the ropes of the NFL game.

Both gunslingers looked the part for the Browns and this week they could take another step towards being a better team.

This won’t matter on the final regular season standings, but these games are huge for Cleveland. There’s a lot of new parts and plenty of young players who need to work the kinks out before the big games start.
