Their first preseason game was great, but there were some members of the Cleveland Browns who needed to show more. The Dawg Pound Daily crew gives you one from each side of the ball.

Week 1 of the preseason was a success. The Cleveland Browns went to East Rutherford, New Jersy and secured a win over the New York Giants. Of course, the win isn’t what really mattered here.

As Browns fans are well aware, wins in the preseason mean nothing. It’s what they do in the regular season that counts. The good news though is that in their debut exhibition game, Cleveland seemed to be headed in the right direction.

They had a great series out of quarterback Tyrod Taylor that ended in a touchdown to tight end David Njoku. They then saw their rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield prove he belonged in the NFL as he threw 212 yards with a couple scores and no turnovers.

All-in-all, it was a fantastic feeling watching them play, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t issues. Here we will address that as members of the Dawg Pound Daily crew will give you their opinion on which players they would like to see more of.

We will all choose one guy from the offense and one from the defense. As always with our collaboration pieces, click on the writer’s name if you like their take and see more of their work.
