Wide Receiver (6): Jarvis Landry, Josh Gordon, Rashard Higgins, Antonio Callaway, Damion Ratley, Jeff Janis

The wide receiver corps was in the news all week for the Cleveland Browns. It started when they brought in free agent Dez Bryant for a visit. He didn’t sign, but they did get someone back when Josh Gordon announced he was returning to the team on Saturday. He may not be ready by Week 1, but once he is, he will be a starter.

Alongside Gordon will be Jarvis Landry who has been earning the respect of everyone in the organization since coming over this offseason. He led the league in catches a season ago but was minimal in his yards per catch. The Browns seem ready to expand his route tree though and hope that leads to higher production.

Rashard Higgins is the third player and really has excelled this preseason. He’s been great in his routes and has been catching most everything. Higgins has really progressed from a season ago. Behind Higgins is rookie Antonio Callaway. The fourth-round pick has gotten a lot of play in the preseason and has a bright future. He and Higgins are likely the reason the front office decided against overpaying for Bryant.

Damion Ratley and Jeff Janis round out the group. Ratley has been getting a lot of work and has blazing speed. Janis is also a burner, but he’s making this team thanks to his ability to contribute on special teams.
