Members of Dawg Pound Daily look at players who could secure a roster spot with the Cleveland Browns with a big game in their Preseason Week 3 contest
We are entering a critical time for the Cleveland Browns, preseason Week 3. This is the week where teams usually try and put together their most complete game of the preseason.
Week 1 against the New York Giants, for instance, the Browns were getting their quarterbacks ready and hardly ran their top running backs. After struggling to move the ball on the ground, they focused on that area in their second contest against the Buffalo Bills.
Now ready to play the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles, the Browns may have an approach that resembles the team they hope to be when they face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1 of the regular season.
It could be our best glimpse at how quarterback Tyrod Taylor, running back Carlos Hyde and wide receiver Jarvis Landry before the regular season begins. We could also see more of defensive players like Myles Garrett, Joe Schobert and Denzel Ward than we have to this point.
Outside of those players, some will be doing their best to win a job in this very game. Whether it’s a roster spot or a starting position, some of us here at DPD look at guys who could secure themselves something of value against Philadelphia.
