With roster cuts only days away, the Cleveland Browns final preseason game against the Detroit Lions is the last chance for these players to make a case for a spot on the final roster.

With the Cleveland Browns wrapping up their preseason schedule on Thursday night, a lot of players on the fringe of being cut will need some big performances if they want to have a spot on the Browns final roster and ‘earn their stripe’ on their helmet.

Teams have until Saturday to finalize their 53-man roster for the regular season, with a lot of decisions on who to keep already made.

The final preseason game will help the Browns front office and coaching staff make a decision on guys that are in close competitions.

The key for the players still fighting for a job on Thursday night is to have such a good performance that it will make it hard for the organization to decide to move on from that player.

The Browns have most of their first-team and second-team lineups set. But for the first time in a long time, they have good, quality depth at the bottom of the roster. Having good depth is going to force the Browns decision-makers to make some tough decisions as to who to keep and who to cut.

Some of the players that the Browns do move on from are likely to get picked up by other teams during the waiver wire pickups. Which is a new thing because other organizations rarely ever wanted players that the Browns did not want.

Here’s a look at three Browns that are on the roster bubble that could win spots on the roster on Thursday night.
