The Cleveland Browns enter their Week 1 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers fairly healthy as only one player will miss the game due to injury
Week 1 is finally here and the Cleveland Browns have a massive test in front of them. The reigning AFC North champion Pittsburgh Steelers are on the schedule and they’re not going to be an easy team to beat.
The Steelers are a constant force in the North and are led by two-time Super Bowl winner Ben Roethlisberger. He’s got plenty of weapons to utilize in Antonio Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and rookie James Washington.
Even with Le’Veon Bell holding out, that’s a formidable group. Thankfully for the Browns, they’re going to be very close to full strength.

Despite a few injury scares in the preseason, Cleveland enters the game with only one player officially listed as being out. Cornerback E.J. Gaines is down with a knee injury. Originally the injury was feared to be season-ending, but Gaines got good news and shouldn’t miss too much time.
Outside of Gaines, there are a few players listed as probable and only James Burgess is considered doubtful. He suffered a concussion in the final preseason game and could end up sitting this one out.
The Steelers are also very healthy. On their end, we know tight end Vance McDonald is out, but that appears to be it for them as they’re also rather healthy entering this Week 1 contest.

Injuries will always be a part of the game and for Cleveland, their depth is a big concern. They’re thankful to have so few people banged up now, and hope to stay that way moving forward. If not, their depth could quickly become problematic.
