Members of the Dawg Pound Daily crew give their predictions for the Cleveland Browns game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1 of the 2018 NFL Season

The 2018 NFL Season is finally here and this weekend we will have some Cleveland Browns football that counts in the standings. Kicking things off in Week 1, the Browns will be the home team in an AFC North showdown.

FirstEnergy Stadium will host the Browns game against the hated Pittsburgh Steelers, the reigning AFC North Champions. As fate would have it, this is the same team Cleveland faced last season to end the year — and try and save themselves from a winless season.

We surely all remember how that one ended. Playing against mostly backups, the Browns had a shot late, but a fourth-down pass from quarterback DeShone Kizer to wide receiver Corey Coleman hit the turf and so did the hopes of fans not wanting to endure the dreaded 0-16 record.

As we all know those players, and many more, didn’t survive the offseason purge. The memory of that game still stings none the less and Cleveland wouldn’t have it any other way than to kick the year off with these guys once again.

What better way to kick off the 2018 campaign than with a chance to exercise those demons? Can the Browns manage to do that and start this year off on the right track? That’s the exact question our writers here at Dawg Pound Daily seek to answer.
