Cleveland Browns: Tyrod Taylor ranks as one of the worst QBs in the NFL on PFF
By Randy Gurzi
The analytical site Pro Football Focus released their 2018 grades following Week 1 and Cleveland Browns quarterback Tyrod Taylor was ranked at No. 31
With Week 1 over with, the popular analytical football site, Pro Football Focus, released their player grades. For Cleveland Browns quarterback Tyrod Taylor, it wasn’t complimentary.
35 quarterbacks got playing time to be ranked and Taylor found himself at No. 31 with a grade of 50.6. The only starters he finished better than were Matt Ryan of Atlanta, Sam Bradford of Arizona, and Nathan Peterman — Taylor’s old teammate with the Bills.
Unlike those players behind him, Taylor’s team didn’t lose. Instead, they erased a 14-point deficit and tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers 21-21.

What PFF doesn’t take into account is the weather that took place in Cleveland.
The rain was a huge factor in Taylor’s performance and even Ben Roethlisberger of the Steelers came in lower than he normally does as he was ranked No. 21 on the same list.
In the game, Taylor finished with 15-of-40 passing (37.5 percent) and had 197 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He did add 77 yards and a touchdown as he did all he could to keep the Browns in the game.
Next week, Taylor and the Browns travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints. The game will be played inside a dome, so Taylor should have a better passing game.
As for the defense, they just may have a harder time in that same dome dealing with Drew Brees who finished No. 2 in Week 1 according to PFF.
