Cleveland Browns at New Orleans Saints

Summary: The Browns finished week one undefeated. Not sure anything like this has happened before in NFL history. But then again, only the Browns can end a losing streak by not winning.

The New Orleans Saints are a different story. The Saints were a preseason favorite to make the Super Bowl. Their defense got out to a horrific start by giving up 48 points to a Tampa Bay team a lot of experts don’t rate too highly. Their offense put up 40 points but not enough to win.

This week should see the Saints defense stiffen. Combine that with a quarterback in Tyrod Taylor who seems to need wide open receivers to throw the ball and the Browns look to be in for another long week on offense.

The other side of the ball will see a much improved Browns defense coming off a masterful performance. But the defense has to be thinking that they will have to score for the team to win. The Saints offense is very good with prolific weapons. The Saints will put up some points on the Browns defense.

Special teams were an issue for both teams last week. This phase of the game is a draw.

The question is can the Browns keep up the pace with the Saints. Given that gun shy Taylor is at the helm, the answer is no.

Final Score: New Orleans 24, Cleveland 10
