The Cleveland Browns walked into the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, and to say that expectations were low is really an understatement. However, the Browns were able to take a 6-3 lead into halftime and hang with the New Orleans Saints until the very, very bitter end. These are our instant reactions.

The New Orleans Saints were one of the best teams in the NFL in 2017, and were one botched tackle away from going to the NFC Championship game. This year, however, they’ve been something of a mystery this season. In week one, they nearly gave up 50 points to Ryan “FitzMagic” Fitzpatrick and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This week, they let the Cleveland Browns take a 6-3 lead into halftime. However, the Browns would lose at the end, 21-18.

So, what does this all mean? Can the Cleveland Browns really hang in there with the NFL’s elite, for two weeks in a row? Are the New Orleans Saints a bit worse than we gave them credit for all offseason? Are all these close games just early-season luck for the Browns? What’s going on?

Okay, calm down. Let’s sort this out like we always do in football, with wild overreactions and, of course, reckless speculation. The Cleveland Browns visited the New Orleans Saints in week two, and these are our instant reactions.
