After a tough loss against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2, we look at three studs and three duds for the Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns fans deserve better. They’re one of the most loyal fanbases in the world and they’ve stuck by this team for so long. And it looked like they finally had their first win since 2016, but the fans deep down had that feeling.

It’s that feeling of knowing the meltdown is coming. Something won’t go their way and then — it happened. After leading all day against the New Orleans Saints, Tyrod Taylor threw the game away.

They were up 12-10 and he threw an ugly pick in their own territory. The Saints promptly scored, converted on a two-point play and it was 18-12. They were done.

But of course, Taylor — who fans were ready to turn on for his ultra conservative play — dropped a dime on fourth down to keep hope alive.

He put it out there and rookie receiver Antonio Callaway caught up to the ball for a touchdown. They tied it 18-all and an extra point would give them the lead. We all know how it ended. A missed extra point left it tied, the Saints went up by three and then kicker Zane Gonzalez missed a 52-yard try to tie it.

Now, the Browns are 0-1-1 on the season. It hurts, but the good news is this team is close. They’re not getting smoked, they’re just not finding the ways to win. It’s a young team and they’ll learn it.

There are plenty of pieces to like about this young team and some to have concerns with. With that said, let’s look at our Week 2 studs and duds for the Cleveland Browns.
