The Cleveland Browns are 0-1-1 after watching two winnable games slip away. Does that make the next couple weeks a make or break scenario for some?

After a disappointing first two weeks of the season, is it time for the Cleveland Browns to cut ties with Hue Jackson and former Virginia Tech quarterback Tyrod Taylor?

The first two games were against Super Bowl contenders in the Steelers and the Saints. In a 21-21 tie against the Steelers where the Browns had every chance to win especially with forcing six turnovers, but a blocked field goal by former Browns kicker, and Arizona State Alum, Zane Gonzalez decided the outcome in a dreary day in Cleveland.

The storyline in the Browns second game in New Orleans against the Saints came down to questionable play calling and more importantly special teams.

It’s been well documented the struggles that Gonzalez faced Sunday missing two field goals and two extra points with one of them giving the Browns the edge late in the fourth quarter 19-18.

Instead, Drew Brees marched downfield as he has so many times in his career which led to a game winning field goal from Will Lutz. The next two games are against bottom of the pack teams in the New York Jets on Thursday night and the Raiders the following Sunday in Oakland, two very winnable games — which poses the question if the Browns go 0-2 in that stretch does Hue Jackson get released of his duties.

With the struggle of Tyrod Taylor in the first couple of games has everyone asking do the Browns show off the toy that’s been hiding in the garage and play number one overall pick and former Heisman winner at Oklahoma in Baker Mayfield.

Another question that has been brought up is can you start Baker in a hostile environment on the road in Oakland with the Raiders famous Black Hole.

For that answer time will tell until then we can hang our hats that we’ve been in every game in this young season and barring mental errors I could be sitting here writing this article with the Browns being 4-0.
