The Cleveland Browns host the Baltimore Ravens as Baker Mayfield gets his first start at home. The Dawg Pound Daily crew predicts the outcome of that game.

Week 5 gives the Cleveland Browns another shot to prove they’re a better team than we have seen in recent seasons. Yes, they’ve already been better than 2017 when they went 0-16, but 1-2-1 is not the record they want considering the way they’ve been playing thus far.

In Week 1, they had a shot to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, but a blocked field goal in overtime shot that hope down. Still, tying the defending AFC North champs showed this team does at least have talent — and a lot of fight as they fought back from a late 14-point deficit.

They then went on the road to play the New Orleans Saints, a team that was fresh off a shocking loss in Week 1. In this game, the Browns showed insane defensive prowess as they made life miserable for future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees. They controlled the game for the majority of the day, but missed kicks and a late interception doomed them as they dropped that game by just three points.

Then they finally broke through with the big win over the New York Jets. Hope was renewed as the Cleveland crowd celebrated watching rookie Baker Mayfield lead his team to success. He was unable to get them two in a row as the Oakland Raiders stole an overtime game where turnovers and bad breaks from officials doomed Cleveland.

Now they come back home to host the Baltimore Ravens. Can they shake off the rough game a week ago and cool off the Ravens? Our DPD writers give their take on who will win this game. Check out their opinion and if you like the writer’s take, click on their name to see more of their work.
