By Dan Justik
The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news that you need to know, including Jarvis Landry setting a NFL record against the Baltimore Ravens.
During the off-season, it became obvious that the Cleveland Browns wanted more weapons on the offensive side of the ball. That led to general manager John Dorsey trading for Jarvis Landry.
Landry has been known as a reliable play-maker, as he caught 400 passes in his first four seasons in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins.
That reception total shattered the NFL record for most receptions in the first four seasons of a NFL player’s career.

On Sunday against the Ravens, Landry set another NFL record. Landry caught his 427th reception of his career in the Browns’ Week 5 game, which broke the NFL record for most receptions in the first five seasons of a career.
In today’s featured article, Landry’s new record puts him in an elite category. But the NFL may already have the next player that can break Landry’s reception record.

Jarvis Landry, former LSU wideout, sets NFL catches record – Christopher Dabe, NOLA.com
"Landry now ranks ahead of Larry Fitzgerald (426), Torrey Holt (423) and A.J. Green (415) for most catches in the first five seasons."
With the Browns still having 11 games to play this season, Landry has an opportunity to set a big mark for this record. Being the No.1 receiving option in the offense, Landry will continue to get the targets that will make this record even more remarkable.
Instant reactions, Baker Mayfield clutch in big win against Ravens
The Cleveland Browns won a hard-fought game against AFC North-rival Baltimore Ravens, and Randy Gurzi believes that Baker Mayfield’s ability in pressure packed moments was a key reason Cleveland won.
"Yeah, that was bad, a failed trick play to set up a second-and-21 as the Browns 5-yard line. But it wasn’t the only thing that went wrong for the Browns on Sunday in their 12-9 overtime … win over the Baltimore Ravens."
One of the next steps in the process for a young team to becoming a playoff contender is being able to win sloppy games. Sunday was certainly a sloppy game for the Browns, but they are showing the resiliency they need to come away with victories, which is a great sign for the organization’s future.
Officials tried, but failed to give the Baltimore Ravens a victory
The Cleveland Browns were able to overcome a lot of penalties on Sunday, and Joel Cade says that the officials were unsuccessful in giving the game to the Ravens with the penalties that they called.
