"Through the first four weeks of the 2018 season, the Cleveland Browns have taken home three NFL Pepsi Rookie of the Week awards. Can the Browns first-year players make it four awards in five weeks? The odds suggest it’s likely."
With how well the Browns rookies have played so far this season, it is not a surprise to see them win the Rookie of the Week awards. But it is astounding that the team has already won the award three times, and they have good odds at winning the award for the fourth time in five weeks.
Is it time to give David Njoku and Duke Johnson reps at wide receiver?
The Cleveland Browns will be without wide receiver Rashard Higgins for a weeks, and it has Casey Kinnamon wondering if the Browns should give their tight end and running back some reps lined up at wide receiver.
"Are ya’ listening first-place 4-1 Bengals? The Browns, 1 1/2 games out first place at 2-2-1, are no longer the doormat of the AFC North, or the NFL for that matter. They’re undefeated in the AFC North at 1-0-1 after their tie with Pittsburgh in the opener and are a few missed kicks away from being tied with the Bengals for the AFC North lead."
Coming off an 0-16 season, it would be crazy to think that the Browns will be in playoff contention just one season later. But after five games, the Browns look like a team that have a chance at making the playoffs in 2018.
Despite injury, Rashard Higgins is breaking out
Higgins will be miss the next couple of games with a sprained MCL, but Martin McConnell believes that 2018 has been a breakout season for the third-year wide receiver.
