Hue Jackson appreciated Snoop Dogg visiting the Cleveland Browns practice, but was quick to warn his team about getting caught up with bandwagon fans

Earlier this week, rap star Snoop Dogg paid a visit to the Cleveland Browns practice. Anyone who knows about Snoop understands he’s a big fan of the sport of football.

He’s done lots of work with youth players, some who have even made it to the NFL. However, as far as rooting interests go, this is a fan of the Browns rivals — the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Snoop has always shown his faith in this team. Well, that is when he isn’t supporting the Dallas Cowboys. Or the Oakland Raiders. Or maybe when he complains about being a fan of all three of those teams when they aren’t playing well.

The fact that he doesn’t have a true allegiance wasn’t unnoticed by Cleveland head coach Hue Jackson, who warned the team about people who will be singing their praises now that they’re putting together a respectable season.

"“Snoop, I’ve known him for quite a while,” said Jackson according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “He’s been around some other places I have been. … It was good to have him out for a moment. A lot of guys see him on the sideline, and his message was ‘Man, you guys are doing some good things, some really good things.’ I thought that was great. At the same time, there are going to be a lot of people that want to come be on this wagon when the wagon gets rolling, and we’re going to circle the wagon. I know that because I didn’t see any of these people the last two years.”"

Jackson is correct that fans will start coming out of the word works when the Browns are winning. They’re going to be fun to watch as players like Baker Mayfield, Denzel Ward, and Myles Garrett all begin to become among the best at their respective positions.

This also doesn’t mean all fans will be bandwagon fans. Cleveland has one of the most loyal fanbases in the NFL and they’ve been taking their beatings from other teams for years.

Once they really start knocking opponents off, expect them to unleash years of abuse as they let the trash talk flow. Let’s make sure we don’t confuse the fans finally getting their moment in the sun with those who just like the shiny new object in the league.
