Cleveland Browns: 6 Trade targets as the deadline approaches

With the NFL trade deadline approaching and moves already being made, we look at 6 players the Cleveland Browns could kick the tires on

With a record of 2-4-1, the Cleveland Browns are in last place in the AFC North. Even so, they’re still very much alive, especially considering they still have four games to play in their division and are 1-0-1 against these foes.

A Week 1 tie to the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime stung, but they can avenge that in Week 8 as they play them once again. They beat the Baltimore Ravens in overtime in Week 5, and play them to finish off the season in Week 17.

There are also two games remaining against the Cincinnati Bengals as the two Ohio franchises will face off in Week 12 and Week 16. All this is to say that they can still make a run this season, they just need some breaks to go their way.

Outside of their loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6, the Browns have been within one score of their opponent — with four games going to overtime. A lucky break here or there and this could be a completely different season.

Expecting to catch a break is unlikely as they’ve been unfortunate in terms of officiating (the league sends out weekly apologies for missed calls against Cleveland). That means the Browns need to make their own luck.

The players they have now have been doing all they can, but there could be a move or two before the deadline that could help them in their pursuit of the AFC North title. Here we will look at six players who could be available, and that should entice the Browns.
