Round 1: N’Keal Harry, Wide Receiver, Arizona State

With their first pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns can go a couple of ways, both of which need to be focused on the same thing — getting quarterback Baker Mayfield the help he needs to become a star.

More from Browns Draft

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma has shown flashes of potential, but too often things on the offensive side of the ball fall apart around him. To keep him from suffering long-term, they need to get him some help.

One area he needs help is protection, the other is in having playmakers. Right now, Mayfield is struggling with time to pass as well as finding receivers who can hold onto the pass. Drops have plagued the whole team and in order for him to ever start finding success, he needs that to end.

This is what leads them to select N’Keal Harry from Arizona State. The 6-foot-4 wideout catches everything and is also a playmaker once the ball is in his hands. He can help open up the offense and take some of the pressure off Jarvis Landry. While they could also go tackle here, the upside Harry offers is too much to pass on.
