Stud: Effort and Energy

Sunday’s victory against the Falcons was a great game overall for the Browns. Cleveland played so well that it was impossible to find a third dud. Instead, it must be mentioned how much energy the entire team showed on Sunday.

For the entire game, the Browns effort was incredible, Players were flying around the field making plays, and they were not making it easy for the Falcons. No matter what was happening, the Browns were fighting for every inch on the field.

It has been evident that the team has a different type of energy since Gregg Williams took over as head coach. No longer does the team hang their heads after a mistake. Instead, they come out on the next play looking to right their wrongs from the previous play.

The team is showing a confidence that has not been seen from the Browns since early in the 2014 season. They no longer look like they are waiting for something bad to happen, but instead look like they know they are going to win the game.

With such a young team, creating a culture of playing every down like it’s the last is beneficial for the future of the franchise. In just two weeks as head coach, Williams has done a heck of a job of holding the players accountable and making them believe that they are going to win the game.
