By Dan Justik
The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news that you need to know, including Gregg Williams being focused on this season.
Cleveland Browns interim head coach Gregg Williams has not been afraid to say whatever he wants, whenever he wants.
Just look back two weeks ago when he was named the interim head coach. Williams said that he has been asked to interview for 11 head coaching jobs, including four that were his job for the taking. Many NFL reporters were skeptical when Williams made this statement.
Following Sunday’s win against the Atlanta Falcons, Williams said that he is more focused on wins this season then his future. And that is something that many are not skeptical about.

There is a lot of uncertainty regarding Williams’ future with the Browns. Even if he has a successful tenure, many believe that he will not be retained as the head coach.
In today’s featured article, Williams explains why he is not concerned with his job status at the end of the season, and instead worrying about the rest of the season.

"“As coaches, we have to understand how to help people improve and help the individual that plays inside of the white lines on gameday,” Williams said. “It is not about us as coaches; it is about them as players.”"
Williams’ focus on the players has seem to paid off already, as the Browns look like a much more confident team. And who knows, a successful season in Cleveland could help Williams have his choice of a head coaching job elsewhere next season.
Browns fans have to learn how to win too
Cleveland Browns fans have endured a lot of losing since the team returned to Cleveland in 1999. Fans have dealt with so much losing that Mike Lukas says that the Dawg Pound has to learn how to handle rooting for a team that is winning games.
"In Freddie Kitchens’ two games as the Browns play-caller, Chubb and Johnson have become the focal point of the offense, combining for 63 touches, 431 yards (6.8 yards per touch) and six touchdowns in two weeks."
The Browns not using Nick Chubb and Duke Johnson when Todd Haley was offensive coordinator was inexcusable. In fact, it could have cost Haley his job. But since the Browns started giving the two running backs prominent touches, the offense has taken off.
Cleveland Browns run defense shows up against Atlanta
The Cleveland Browns run defense has taken a major step backwards since last season, but Elliott Kennel believes Sunday’s win against Atlanta would not have been possible if it weren’t for the defense stopping the Falcons rushing attack.
