Continuing the Cleveland Browns’ slew of decorated rookies, running back Nick Chubb has won Rookie of the Week for week 10. This is his second victory, his first coming in a week four overtime loss to the Oakland Raiders.

The Cleveland Browns rookie sure are something this year, huh?

With Baker Mayfield and Denzel Ward as key pieces on both sides of the ball, the Browns seem set for the foreseeable future at quarterback and cornerback.

But not to be outdone, rookie running back Nick Chubb claimed his second NFL Rookie of the Week award on Friday afternoon.

Chubb, the Browns second-round pick out of Georgia, was mighty impressive in the Browns’ surprising Week 10 win over the Atlanta Falcons, with over 200 total yards on the day.

Included in those yards was his record-setting 92-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter, which really let the Browns put the boots to Atlanta. Chubb’s pre-injury speed that fans saw while he was dominating at Georgia reappeared in week 10, and the Browns put it to good use.

Ever since Chubb took the reigns from veteran running back Carlos Hyde, he has been nothing but impressive. The Browns have used him and Duke Johnson well since Freddie Kitchens assumed the offensive coordinator position, and he has become a focal point for Cleveland.

Chubb’s win now gives the Browns three rookies with multiple weekly awards. Baker Mayfield has won it three times and Denzel Ward got the honors twice.

Here’s to many more, and once again, a very bright future on the shores of Lake Erie.
