The Cleveland Browns travel to Cincinnati to play the Bengals on Sunday, and Damarious Randall is confident they can come away with a road win.

Cleveland Browns free safety Damarious Randall has not been afraid to ruffle some feathers since he was traded to the organization in March.

Before the Browns travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals this Sunday, Randall spoke with the media and made some comments that will surely draw some attention in Cincinnati.

The safety believes that the Browns are the better team, especially if the Bengals are without one of their star players.

Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green has not played in the last two games for Cincinnati. He has yet to practice heading into the match-up against the Browns.

With Green on the field, the Bengals offense was playing like one of the best offenses in the league. In the eight games with Green on the field, the Bengals were averaging 27.6 points per game.

But in the last two games without Green, the Bengals have only averaged 17.5 points per game. In both games without Green, the Bengals have lost.

Without Green, the Bengals have been forced to rely on Tyler Boyd as their No. 1 receiver. Boyd has put together a solid season, but has struggled since the extra attention has been put on him without Green on the field.

If Green were to miss Sunday’s game against the Browns, Boyd would likely be matched up against Denzel Ward, who has been one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL in just his first season in the league.

Knowing how much the Bengals have struggled without Green, there is good reason for Randall to be confident against the Bengals offense.

However, Randall’s comments will put some extra pressure on the defense, as they have struggled to limit yardage through the air this season. The Browns secondary has also been decimated with injuries in 2018.

The Browns lost starting cornerback Terrance Mitchell to a broken wrist during their Week 4 game against the Raiders. Then, the Browns lost Mitchell’s replacement, E.J. Gaines, to a concussion in their Week 10 game against the Chiefs.

Mitchell is set to return in the next few weeks, while Gaines was placed on injured reserve and will be out for the rest of the season.

Next. Kevin Zeitler will be vital against the Bengals. dark

Randall has been one of the biggest surprises for the Browns this season, as his strong play has been huge for the defense. He will look to continue to his strong season against the Bengals as they attempt to hand Cincinnati their third consecutive loss.
